Seriously, what did happen?

Oh that's right, I didn't have a good time at fanime all due to my boyfriend being a whiny clingy baby who doesn't want to socialize and think its perfectly fine to spend most of the convention in the hotel watching iron chef america and whatever is on comedy central. Well that and none of my new costumes were done and the one I had done looked like shit. I made some money at the swap meet even though I forgot the one box that had some costume pieces and clothing that would've been nice to get rid of. I guess the only highlights from fanime was that I briefly got to see friends I haven't seen in a while and meet a couple of new ones and that panel about prop making.

Summer started with my boyfriend buying a house. It was a fixer upper despite him thinking otherwise. Needed all new counter tops since whomever thought it was a good idea to tile the counters and not go through the proper procedures to make sure its sealed properly so water doesn't seep through and water damage the structure its on did so and well things needed to be redone. Lots of plumbing and electrical work had to be done, not to mention painting. Basically this house has been a huge fuckin' headache with all the disagreements to what we do and don't want done with it. Its done now but there's a couple of things that aren't done with it yet.

Moving has been a huge hassle as well since I have a bunch of things and not much room to store them in. I guess its time to go and pack some things in storage.

Oh and apparently summer was drama llama season cause that's all I either heard or got from people. Seriously, I'm really too old for this shit. I don't need people taking my words and misconstruing them to make me sound like I'm some spiteful bitch. Then again nobody really deserves that. I don't know why I have to prove myself otherwise but obviously people need proof when they've had proof the entire time.

In light of said drama, it has made me feel rather shitty. It has made me feel self conscious about what I do. It has made me not want to cosplay anymore. The one hobby I have pined for since I was a child and finally able to do now that I'm an adult, now makes me have to second guess myself because being confident in your costume and proud of its construction=conceited and bitchy.

Suffice to say despite this drama, I still want to make costumes, I just don't want people deciding to drag me through the mud cause of their own insecurities and issues. Sort that shit out with yourself, don't bring people down cause you can't deal with your situation maturely.

Halloween is the only thing right now I'm looking forward to past this small sci-fi and horror convention a bunch of friends and I are planning on attending. I get to practice more of my horror makeup and make prosthetics which can be a lot of fun, especially for zombies. Halloween mainly because I have an awesome idea for a costume. Normally I'm not one to say I've got a secret costume planned, but I kinda don't want to tell many people cause I want it to be a surprise. Just know its a huge undertaking and its one of those costumes where I must have been in one of those crazy states of mind to even come up with this idea. I guess if the costume falters, I'll make that mermaid costume I keep promising myself I'm gonna do but I really hope I do pull of said crazy costume.

It just might help take my mind off all the stress since the occasional drinking and partying sure hasn't helped take the edge off.
